Dalsbygda School

In Dalsbygda School there are about 20 pupils, four teachers and one headmaster.

In the school there are three classrooms, one for the 1^st and 2^nd class, one for 3^rd and 4^th class, and one for 5^th to 7^th class. You are a pupil at this school until you are 13 years old. When you have finished seven years on Dalsbygda School, (primary school), you begin on Eidsdal School, in our neighbour valley. You continue in Eidsdal for three years (secondary school). We have two lunches and breaks, one at ten o’clock and one at twelve o’clock, both lasting 30 minutes. In the lunch breaks we eat our own packed lunch, and we play in the school yard. There is also a kinder garden in connection to the school.

Culture school

In the culture school you can learn how to play instruments, you can dance, and much more. You are getting a registration form in late winter where you can cross off what you want to learn in the autumn. You are a member of this course for one year at the time.

If you want to play a brass instrument, you can play it for one year and then you can begin in the brass band, if your music teacher thinks that you are ready for it. The brass band we start in is Eidsdal brass band.
